Governor Greg Abbott rolled across Texas last week, launching his statewide “Let’s Roll” Get Out the Vote Tour ahead of the March 2026 Republican primary.
From the woods of East Texas to the Houston suburbs, the Governor brought his message directly to Texans, and the crowds were fired up to hear it.
Here’s a look at the first week of stops:
February 17 – Cypress & Tyler
The tour kicked off on February 17, with stops in Cypress and Tyler. Supporters turned out in force at both events, energized by Governor Abbott’s proven record on border security, public safety, and Texas values. The tone was set early: this tour is about rallying conservatives across the Lone Star State to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

February 18 — Allen, Beaumont & Kingwood
In Allen, north of Dallas, Abbott drew an enthusiastic crowd eager to hear about his legislative victories in 2025, from the strongest bail reform package in Texas history to landmark border security laws.
Down in Beaumont, the event took a turn with an attendee showing up with a gator in tow. Only in Texas. The reptile’s voter status is unconfirmed – Texans for Greg Abbott reached out but has not heard back.

Then came Kingwood. During the event, Governor Abbott received a phone call from none other than President Donald Trump, who unexpectedly phoned in to express his support for the Governor and his reelection campaign. The crowd erupted as Abbott took the call, a powerful moment that underscored the strong partnership between Texas and the Trump Administration that has delivered results for Texas.
February 19 — La Grange & The Colony
The Governor wrapped up the first leg of the tour with stops in La Grange and The Colony, drawing supporters from across Central Texas and the DFW area. Both events were high-energy, with voters ready to keep Texas red.

Why It Matters
With a proven record of delivering for Texans on border security, veterans issues, and public safety, Abbott is taking his campaign directly to the people who matter most: Texas voters.
The “Let’s Roll” tour continues through March 2, with a second round kicking off today. If the first week is any indication, Texas conservatives are ready to show up and show out. We will keep you posted on both gators and Presidents.
