AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of the Austin Young Republicans (AYR), an organization dedicated to championing conservative values and engaging young voters across Texas.
“The Executive Committee of the Austin Young Republicans is proud to unanimously endorse Greg Abbott for Governor of Texas,” said executive committee members of AYR. “Governor Abbott has demonstrated strong, proven conservative leadership by protecting freedom, securing our communities, and defending Texas values. Young Republicans across Texas and across the nation back Governor Abbott as he continues to lead Texas forward.”

AYR is the largest youth political organization in Austin, with over 500 members committed to advancing Republican principles and strengthening our community. AYR is recognized by the Texas Young Republican Federation (TYRF) and operates under the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF). AYR engages and mobilizes members through monthly meetings, leadership development, and hands-on grassroots action—including block walking, voter outreach, and volunteer efforts in support of Republican candidates and conservative causes. Through consistent community involvement and campaign activity, AYR helps to develop the next generation of conservative leaders while delivering real results on the ground in Central Texas.
