AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association (EPMPOA), representing more than 1,000 active-duty officers who protect and serve the El Paso community. Tomorrow, Governor Abbott will join them in El Paso for an event to honor the dedication and service of Texas law enforcement and border security personnel.

“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association,” said Governor Abbott. “EPMPOA represents the brave men and women on the front lines of law enforcement, and I’m grateful for their critical work to protecting our families and communities. I will always fight for those who answer the call to serve.”

“The El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association is proud to announce its official endorsement of Governor Abbott for reelection as Governor of the State of Texas,” said EPMPOA Vice President Sgt. Victor Vela. “The EPMPOA is grateful for the continued support Governor Abbott has shown to law enforcement and all first responders throughout his tenure as Governor. His commitment to public safety, officer wellness, and strong communities has made a meaningful impact across Texas. We look forward to the continued great work Governor Abbott will accomplish in the years ahead.”

The EPMPOA represents more than 1,000 active police officers, providing vital support and resources to its members and their families.
