AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of the Fort Worth Police Officers Association PAC (FWPOA), marking the first announcement in a series of law enforcement endorsements in his re-election campaign.
“I am grateful for the continued support of the Fort Worth Police Officers Association PAC,” said Governor Abbott. “The brave men and women in blue put their lives on the line every day to keep Texas communities safe. They deserve a Governor who has their backs, provides the tools and support they need to get the job done, and ensures violent criminals stay behind bars. Together, we will keep Texas a state of law and order as we build a safer future for generations to come.”
“The Fort Worth Police Officers’ Association proudly continues our unwavering support and strong endorsement of Governor Abbott in his reelection campaign,” said President of FWPOA Lloyd Cook. “Governor Abbott is a proven champion for law enforcement and has made Texas’ pro law-and-order approach the national model for public safety.”
FWPOA represents more than 1,700 law enforcement professionals who are all dedicated to protecting public safety and upholding the rule of law in one of Texas’ largest cities. FWPOA will host Governor Abbott at an event Tuesday, where he will be joined by representatives from numerous law enforcement organizations announcing their endorsement for his reelection campaign.
