EL PASO – Governor Greg Abbott yesterday highlighted the historic conservative wins from the 89th Legislative Session that will keep Texas red during a Get Out The Vote stop at Riviera Cocina & Cantina. The Governor also encouraged a packed crowd of supporters to solidify these Republican victories in the November 4 Constitutional Amendments Election.
“This past legislative session was the most successful in Texas history,” said Governor Abbott. “We put the safety of Texans first by reforming our broken bail system and securing the border to bring back hope and opportunity for Texans living in border communities.”
“No one knows a child better than their parents,” Abbott continued. “That’s why we delivered historic teacher pay raises, strengthened parental rights, and empowered families to choose the best educational pathway for their child. Now, it’s up to Texas voters to finish the job.”
The Governor was welcomed by El Paso County Republican Party Chairman Michael Aboud.
Governor Abbott highlighted several key propositions that solidify the conservative victories from the 2025 Legislative Session, including:
- Proposition 3 which keeps dangerous criminals off our streets by allowing judges to deny bail for heinous crimes, including rape, murder, and human trafficking.
- Proposition 4 which dedicates $1 billion annually to fund critical water projects across Texas, including improving water systems, fixing leaking pipes, and ensuring Texans have reliable water sources for the future.
- Proposition 6 which protects Texans’ retirement accounts, pensions, investments, and Texas’ stock exchanges, safeguarding your hard-earned money and our growing financial sector.
- Proposition 15 which enshrines in the Texas Constitution that parents are the primary decision makers for their children.
- Proposition 16 which ensures that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas elections.
