Game Wardens Back the Governor’s Proven Leadership on Public Safety, Conservation, and Border Security
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of the Texas Game Warden Peace Officers Association, representing the dedicated men and women who protect Texas land, water, wildlife, and outdoor heritage.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Texas Game Warden Peace Officers Association,” said Governor Abbott. “Texas Game Wardens serve on the front lines enforcing the law, protecting our natural resources, and preserving the outdoor traditions that define our way of life. While radical Democrats push open-border policies and undermine law enforcement, Texas steps up to back the men and women who uphold the rule of law, safeguard our communities, and keeps our border secured.”

Texas Game Wardens play a critical role in enforcing state laws related to hunting, fishing, boating, and environmental conservation—and they routinely assist in ongoing border security operations along Texas waterways. They also respond to search-and-rescue missions, natural disasters, and other public safety emergencies.
This endorsement comes ahead of a Wednesday event recognizing the essential role law enforcement officers play across Texas, especially at a time when support for law enforcement is under attack by Democrats in Washington and liberal states.
Last week, Governor Abbott received the endorsement of 23 law enforcement organizations and sheriffs from across Texas. He also traveled to Fort Worth and Houston where key law enforcement and public safety organizations from across Texas publicly backed Governor Abbott for his unwavering leadership and strong support for law enforcement.
