As Texas leads the nation in energy production, Governor Abbott has made expanding reliable, affordable power – including advanced nuclear power – a top priority. Under the Governor’s leadership, and with the help of the Texas Nuclear Alliance, Texas is poised to usher in a true nuclear renaissance.

“Texas is the energy capital of the world,” said Governor Abbott. “By embracing an all-of-the-above energy approach, we will unleash Texas’ energy industry. Nuclear energy is safe, reliable, and essential to powering our growing state. I’m grateful for the unwavering support of the Texas Nuclear Alliance. Together, we will invest in advanced nuclear technology and the workforce that supports it to ensure Texas produces affordable, dispatchable power for generations to come.”

“The Texas Nuclear Alliance is proud to support Governor Abbott because of his clear, consistent commitment to position Texas as the state leading the nuclear renaissance in the United States,” said President of Texas Nuclear Alliance Reed Clay. “Under his leadership, Texas has embraced nuclear power as a foundational element for grid reliability, economic growth, and national and energy security. Texas is also advancing recommendations from the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group to accelerate deployment of cutting-edge nuclear technologies, ensuring Texans have access to affordable, while bolstering America’s energy dominance.
