AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today received the endorsement of the Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT), an organization that has championed conservative values for over 45 years on college campuses across Texas.
“Young Texans understand that our future depends on leadership that doesn’t just talk about conservative values, but acts on them,” said YCT Vice-Chairman Cassidy Schnoor. “Governor Abbott has proven he will fight for and sign the bills that defend life, secure liberty, empower parents, and strengthen Texas. That’s why YCT is proud to endorse him for Governor in 2026.”
“I am grateful for the continued support of the Young Conservatives of Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “Since 1980, this organization has worked tirelessly to uphold our shared conservative principles and Texas values on college campuses across the state. These young Texans are the next generation of conservative leaders who will keep Texas the land of limited government, endless economic opportunity, and the Republican stronghold of America. Together, we will ensure Texas remains safer, stronger, freer, and more prosperous than ever before.”
YCT is a non-partisan, conservative youth organization dedicated to shaping public policy in the Lone Star State. Through education, advocacy, and activism, YCT promotes conservative principles—both fiscal and social—on college campuses and across Texas. YCT engages students and the public, supports aligned candidates, and holds elected officials accountable by rating state and federal lawmakers.
